Overview

The Tampa Calendar is a local events discovery platform for Downtown Tampa and the greater Tampa Bay area. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. We are committed to being straightforward — we collect as little data as possible and do not sell your information to anyone.

Information We Collect

Currently, The Tampa Calendar does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the site. You can browse all events, use filters, search, and view the map entirely anonymously.

We may collect the following limited technical information automatically when you visit:

  • Basic server logs including your IP address, browser type, and pages visited — collected automatically by our hosting provider (Vercel) for security and performance purposes
  • No analytics platform is currently installed on this site
  • No cookies are set by The Tampa Calendar beyond what is technically necessary to serve the website

How We Use Information

Any technical information collected by our hosting infrastructure is used solely to operate, maintain, and secure the website. We do not use this information for advertising, marketing, or any commercial purpose. We do not share this information with third parties except as required by law.

Third-Party Services

The Tampa Calendar uses the following third-party services to operate:

  • Vercel — website hosting. Their privacy policy is available at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
  • Mapbox — interactive map display. When you use the map view, your browser connects to Mapbox servers. Their privacy policy is available at mapbox.com/legal/privacy
  • Airtable — event data storage (backend only, not user-facing). Their privacy policy is available at airtable.com/privacy
  • Eventbrite — some event links direct to Eventbrite for ticketing. Eventbrite's privacy policy applies when you visit their site

Future Changes

As The Tampa Calendar grows, we may introduce features such as user accounts, saved events, or personalized recommendations. If we begin collecting additional personal information, this Privacy Policy will be updated before those features launch, and we will make the changes clear.

Your Rights

Since we do not currently collect personal information beyond basic server logs, there is little personal data to access, correct, or delete. If you have questions or concerns about your privacy, please contact us at the address below and we will respond promptly.
